The short uphill walk rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, including Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, and many other Himalayan peaks. After enjoying the sunrise and taking memorable photographs, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing our trek toward Tadapani. Weather & Seasons

The best seasons for the Poon Hill Annapurna Base Camp Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is generally stable, skies are clear, and the mountain views are at their best. Spring brings colorful rhododendron forests and fresh natural beauty, while autumn offers excellent visibility of the Himalayan peaks with comfortable trekking temperatures. Winter trekking is also possible with proper preparation, but higher areas can be cold and snowy. The monsoon season is less recommended due to rain, slippery trails, and reduced mountain visibility. Accommodation & Meals

During the Poon Hill Annapurna Base Camp Trek, accommodation is provided mainly in local tea houses and mountain lodges. These tea houses offer basic but comfortable rooms with twin beds, blankets, and shared bathroom facilities in most locations. Some higher-altitude areas have more limited facilities due to the remote mountain environment. Staying in tea houses also gives trekkers an opportunity to experience authentic mountain hospitality and interact with local communities.

During the trek, Trail Mania Trek provides three meals daily, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The tea houses along the route serve a variety of meals such as traditional Nepali dal bhat, noodles, soups, rice dishes, pasta, Tibetan bread, vegetables, and other simple international options. Breakfast usually includes items like eggs, bread, porridge, pancakes, and tea or coffee. Since food choices become more limited at higher elevations, trekkers are encouraged to maintain a balanced diet and drink plenty of water. Our team ensures that meals are arranged properly to provide enough energy for long trekking days in the Himalayan environment.

Permits, Costs & Booking

Trekkers need official permits to enter the Annapurna region. The main required permits are the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and the Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card. These permits help protect the natural environment and support tourism management in the region. Trail Mania Trek arranges all necessary trekking permits and documentation before the trek begins, allowing you to focus on enjoying the adventure. Our team ensures that all legal requirements are completed properly so your trekking experience remains smooth and hassle-free.

Preparation & Equipment

Packing the right equipment is essential for a comfortable and successful trek. Trekkers should bring warm clothing layers, a waterproof jacket, trekking boots, comfortable walking clothes, a sleeping bag, gloves, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, personal medicine, and a reusable water bottle.
